De’Aaron Martez Fox is an American basketball point guard who plays for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA (National Basketball Association).
He was born on the 20th of December, 1997, to his father, Aaron Fox, and mother, Lorainne Harris-Fox, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fox is the youngest of two sons born to his parents.

The young lad committed to play college basketball for the University of Kentucky on the 12th of November 2015. Interestingly, Fox started playing with jersey no. 5.
However, he forfeited his jersey number to his teammate, Malik Monk, and adopted the number zero, which symbolizes that he fears no one.
After performing excellently in college basketball, Fox was selected as the fifth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2017 NBA draft. One month after the draft, he signed a four-year rookie contract worth $24.5 million.

Lorraine Harris-Fox, the biological mother of Fox, is no novice in the game. She was also a college basketball player at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock from 1986 to 1988.
Despite her retirement, no one has broken her record for having the highest free-throw percentage of .928. Lorraine was so skilled at free-throw and wanted to pass her knowledge down to the next generation.
Hence, she started with her son and critically analysed his skill set. As expected, Fox’s mom constantly criticized his free throws until he improved.

Fox admitted that his mother had helped him greatly by teaching him what she was best known for – free throws. Lorraine is originally from Shuqualak, Mississippi, but currently lives with her husband (Aaron) in Houston.
How De’Aaron Fox’s Mom Battled Breast Cancer:
About two years after giving birth to De’Aaron, Lorraine Fox suddenly felt a bump in her chest. She kept observing the lump for a week and finally decided to have it checked out.
Lorraine had a biopsy that confirmed the lump was malignant or cancerous. It wasn’t long before she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2000.
To add to their fear, Fox’s mom had lost her sister to breast cancer a few years earlier, leaving behind her 5-year-old son (Fox’s cousin). Lorraine and her husband adopted the little boy and raised him with Fox.
Seeing that her son was just two years old when the ailment surfaced, Lorraine vowed to do everything she could to combat the disease. She didn’t want her two boys to lose everything to cancer.
After enduring surgery, 4 cycles of chemotherapy every 3 weeks, 40 rounds of x-rays, blood work, routine maintenance, and rigorous scans, Fox’s mother defeated the disease. She has been cancer-free for the past 21 years.
De’Aaron Fox Brother – Quentin Fox:
Quentin Fox is the older brother of the NBA star. Like every member of their family, the young lad is also a talented athlete. While growing up, the siblings enjoyed playing basketball.

Recee Caldwell, now known as Recee Fox, was born on the 9th of September 1996 to her parents, Ray Caldwell and Alba Caldwell. Judging by her date of birth, she is one year older than her husband.
Fox’s wife is an American basketball player who started her career at a young age. She was fortunate to have a sports-oriented dad who took the burden of grooming her athletic prowess.
